You may have checked-back to see what the outcome of my brother's divorce hearings were. Well, we're waiting for the judge's decision. On Thursday, Sept. 28 we went back to court in Chilton County for the rest of the hearing. Matt, Mom, and I all testified on Matt's behalf while Jessie's dad, Patrick's mom and another of Jessie's friends were called as rebuttal witnesses.
I was pretty nervous about testifying and initially couldn't figure out which was my right hand! That broke the tension for me and I was able to answer the questions in what I hope was a professional and competent matter.
I'll be able to elaborate more about the proceedings after we find-out the ruling. Hopefully, Matt will get custody of both of his girls. I have rooms all ready for them!
In the mean time, my family is coming to celebrate my birthday this weekend. The celebration is a little early, but I'm serving at a wedding on the 14th, plus Pam's family needed to come to town anyway for another birthday party. I've purchased a wooden swing-set and the guys will be doing some construction for me so that all of my nieces and my nephew will be able to play.
Last night we had the 2007 Miss JSU interest meeting on campus in Jacksonville. I was able to leave work around 5:30 and make a mad-dash to campus. This morning I overslept, so I'll be working late tonight!!!
Congrats go out to Kelly Hawkins for making the Top 10 at Miss Alabama USA on Saturday!
