Prayers, please...

On Thursday, my dad will have his 17th heart cath. We're pretty sure that this time will require bypass. In October, the doctor chose not to stint a 70% blockage and a 50% blockage, thinking that it could affect the success of bypass in the future. Last week, Dad had an abnormal stress test, so we're back to the cath lab.

Mom's doctor found a cyst (or cysts) on her thyroid that she wants to biopsy. Not sure when that will happen. Plus, mom's asthma is really giving her fits right now.

My $%^# brother went-ahead and got his $200 tattoo - with a $1500 bill from his divorce lawyer sitting on the table. I guess he figures that Mom and Dad will come-up with a way to pay it, just like they've been doing, so he can do whatever the heck he wants with HIS money. That was after he did NOTHING all weekend toward helping my parents (with whom he and my niece live and who are having medical issues of their own - see above!) around the house. He 'went fishing' and played ball, instead of cutting grass, painting my dad's workshop, cleaning up his room, bathroom, or my niece's room, all while my niece is with her mother.

I'm so frustrated at the bad choices/decisions that my brother CONTINUALLY makes and then apologizes for later! Does anyone have any idea on WHEN he'll figure-out that being a parent SHOULD mean being RESPONSIBLE?

On a brighter note, my niece Julia celebrated her kindergarten graduation and her 6th birthday on Friday! Mom, Dad and I were there with bells on to see her get her awards and diploma and then we went back to her house for ice-cream cake!
