Luke's tubes took about 30 minutes total from the time I turned him over in the hallway (want to talk about hard!) until I got him back. The procedure went without incident and he slept most of the day.
That night, we went and watched 2 innings of the Birmingham Barons season opener. He was mesmerized by the sights and sounds of the game.
The next day, Luke started developing a cough. He got worse through the weekend and our trip to Gadsden and Rome for Easter.
Monday, I spent the day waiting for call-backs from his pediatrician, then the ENT, and then the pediatrician again to get an 8:45 am appointment on Tuesday. The pediatrician ran a blood test to make sure that he wasn't developing pneumonia from being under general anesthesia for the tubes. Turns out that he's just picked-up a virus at daycare. It seems he's passed that along to Mom...isn't he sweet to share!
Tonight will be his first night with a non-family member babysitter - thanks, Kit! - as I my Mom and I will go to see "Wicked" for an early Mother's Day treat.
