Wow - what a night!
Yesterday, Oct. 10, was Alyssa's first day at her new school and at after school care. Apparently she took a bit of a tumble on the playground at afterschool care. When I picked her up, she was still complaining of hurting of her back, arm, and leg. I called Matt, who was finishing up at work. After talking to him and my mom, we all agreed that it would be best to take her down to Children's ER to get her checked-out. Matt called and left a message on Jessie's home answering machine, but didn't at that time have her cell phone number.
My mom and dad drove from Gadsden and met Matt and Alyssa at Childrens while I stayed home with the baby. Around 11PM, I finally heard from Mom. Jessie had gotten to the hospital with Patrick (her now fiance), his dad, and his grandmother.
Alyssa will be fine, but had to go to a specialist this afternoon for a double check. She missed her second day of school! Poor thing!
I keep thinking that things will get easier, but so far, they haven't. The baby is doing great! I think that she was just overly tired on Sunday, which is why she was fussy. She's now sitting up by herself! This morning, I had her sitting up in the floor and I heard a noise. Glancing over, I saw that she was now on her hands and knees rocking. I guess she'll be crawling soon!!!
I truly have a greater respect now for every working mother I know!!!
Have a blessed day!
Amy
