The girls' first weekend visit with their mom starts tonight. We're all a little anxious about it, not knowing how the transfer will go. Our family would all prefer that we meet at a neutral site, but the court ordered that she pick them up at my house tonight and Matt pick them up at her's on Sunday. Pray that Sunday night, we don't have to have an Amber Alert issued!
On other news, Matt is working to get his route adjusted or changed so that he's home every night with the girls. This week, he's had two days where he had to work late. Last night, Alyssa didn't like the fact that he wasn't there and decided it was time to test me. She argued about getting a shower. Then argued about how long I was giving her to get a shower. Then she argued about arguing. You get the picture.
I understand how difficult all of this must be for her. I want to help her adjust, but don't know how. Hopefully next week we'll begin to settle down.
For those who may be reading this from Alabama's 3rd Congressional District, please vote for my Uncle Greg - Greg Pierce (www.gregpierce.us) for Congress on Nov. 7.
This weekend is JSU's homecoming and I hope that it will be fun for all. I'm looking forward to driving Miss JSU, Jamie Langley, in the Homecoming parade at 11. Wave at us if you see us and maybe we'll throw you some candy!
