Almost human again

Today I woke-up feeling much better. My allergies didn't seem to be bothering me as much. And then I drove to work. There is something in this building that is driving my allergies crazy and therefore, driving me crazy. I sneeze every 15 minutes or so. What am I supposed to do?

My manager knows that I'm allergic to something in my environment, but she's said that I need to talk with my doctor about it when I go next week! Oh, well. I guess that's what I'll have to do. The good news is that I'm saving the 'Box Tops for Education' for my sister from each Kleenex box that I use. Her school should have quite a donation, just because of my allergies.

I had a wonderful, if somewhat stressful, time at my niece's 2nd birthday party. The party wasn't until 3PM on Saturday, which was forturnate in that the tornados were out of the area by that time. The storms did wake us all up at 4AM; only the birthday girl got a nap that day. We also went to dinner to celebrate my brother-in-law's birthday (Happy Borned Day, Jud!), but were almost too tired to enjoy it.

My mom's computer crashed that morning after the storms. I believe that lightning struck her ethernet card, but what do I know. She spent an hour on the phone with the DSL provider on Saturday and probably another hour on Sunday to find-out the computer wasn't recognizing the ethernet card. I don't think that her security software would've uninstalled the driver (which seemed to be the prevaling thought on Sunday); its my opinion that the massive storm we had Saturday morning got the card through the telephone line.

On Sunday, I missed church trying to catch-up on some rest. If you know me at all, you know how unlikely I was to actually rest the whole time...especially after a 2-yr-old's birthday party. I straightened, put gifts away, and swept while my parents, brother, and niece were at services. I did try and take it easy, though. I'll be honest here - and Pam, don't tell Mom!!! - that I was having some mild cramping on Sunday, but I think I just over worked on Saturday.

Yesterday, I left work a little early, went straight home, cooked dinner, ate, and went to bed. I hope that I'm catching-up on sleep enough that I'll be able to enjoy my dinner plans with Shannon, Laura, and Katie tomorrow night! They want me to pick the place and I can't decide!

My Miss Alabama obligations are getting into full-swing. Next Sunday, March 30, is the day when several of the upcoming Miss Alabama contestants are coming to my home church in Gadsden, so that will be another trip to Gadsden following this weekend's Easter trip.

The weekend after that, we get to go to Rome, GA to celebrate Sam-man's 2nd Birthday! That's going to be a blast! Go Rome Braves!
