Everything looked okay on today's non-stress test (NST) and AFI (I don't know what the acronym stands for, but its an ultrasound where they measure the amniotic fluid level). I'm not dilated or effaced, but according to the NST, I am having small contractions, so the doctor seems to think these contractions will start the dilation process soon.
I go back on Tuesday 9/9 for another NST and AFI at 2PM. This time, hopefully Luke will cooperate and get to moving. The NST this morning took about an hour because he wouldn't move. I attributed it to the time of day - I was hungry and he was lulled to sleep by the rumbling of my tummy! Because that test was at 11:30 and I didn't get through until 12:30, I had to wait until the doctors got back from rounds at 2PM to see one! Fortunately, they let me go get something to eat - yum, hospital food in the cafeteria! Maybe next week, I won't be there 4 ½ hours!
This past Friday, Charli and Mom came down and spent the night so that Mom could help me out by painting the nursery closet. Dad and Matt arrived first thing Saturday morning. Dad mowed my grass and Matt put the closet organizer in Luke's room. When I laid down with Charli to get her to sleep, the guys up and left! Mom and I spent some time later that day, with Charli's help, going through all of the presents I've gotten at baby showers. I'll start washing Luke's clothes tonight and get things put away. Maybe I'll get to post a picture of his real nursery sometime soon instead of the picture from the web catalog!
