As of yesterday evening...

So, my concerns and fears about the Miss Trussville pageants is almost gone. We have received 4 Teen applications and 6 Miss applications as of July 8. Our deadline is July 12, so I'm sure more will come in this week.

I spent over an hour this morning checking and double-checking paperwork. I'll be talking with Yvonne later this evening to see where we are toward everything else concerning the pageant. The location changed to ClearBranch United Methodist Church just off of I-59 at the Argo exit.

I'll have to meet Joy next Wednesday to hand-over the paperwork that the judges see. She's our judges' chairperson and does a wonderful job getting the books together, holding novice orientation, regular orientation, etc.

This year is my last 'easy' year. Yvonne is doing a lot of the production work so that she can 'go out with a bang!' Congratulations to her oldest daughter, Katie, in winning her first Outstanding Teen title at Point Mallard on Thursday!

Keep my sanity in your thoughts and prayers as I'd forgotten how much work goes into an Open pageant. My JSU pageant is MUCH easier with all of the support that I get on campus.
